Abstract
This issue provides resources for law enforcement technology including company listings in alphabetical order with addresses, and phone and fax numbers. The directory of equipment and training products and services is divided into the following categories: weapons, computers, computer software, lighting, radio/communications, surveillance/security, training, tactical equipment, uniforms, vehicles, special purpose vehicles, building security, forensics, pharmaceuticals, and special law enforcement equipment. Also included are highlights of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Centennial Conference held in St. Louis, Missouri in October 1993 with excerpts from the address by U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno. The editors of the magazine chose several products and services as among the best presented at the IACP conference. Brief descriptions of these items are included. These products include a camcorder and digital video imager, improved protective vests, a pocket-sized high-powered FM two-way portable radio, briefcase mounted mobile data station, an image analysis system, chemical agent training programs, and police patrol dog training programs. Specific information on these and other products and services is available by completing reader service cards contained in the magazine.
