Annotation: This report presents a summary of the work of the District of Columbia Courts for the year 2010.
Abstract: The work of the District of Columbia (DC) Courts is guided by Delivering Justice, the strategic plan for the Courts for the years 2008- 2012. The plan identifies six issues that govern the direction of the DC Courts’ activities. This report presents a summary of the activities undertaken by the D.C. Courts’ in each of the six strategic areas: 1) Fair and Timely Case Resolution; 2) Access to Justice; 3) A Strong Judiciary and Workforce; 4) A Sound Infrastructure; 5) Security and Disaster Preparedness; and 6) Public Trust and Confidence. Information on court personnel includes a list of: members of the Joint Committee on Judicial Administration; Associate and Senior Judges of the Court of Appeals; Associate and Senior Judges of the Superior Court; and Magistrate Judges. An organizational chart of the DC Courts is also included in the report.
