Abstract
SOME SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE REGULATORY ORDINANCE ARE A MANDATORY TRAINING PROGRAM, REQUIREMENTS FOR A CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK, UNIFORM AND BADGE RESTRICTIONS FOR IN-HOUSE SECURITY PERSONNEL, CREATION OF A PRIVATE SECURITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE WITH ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS AND A GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THE CITY COUNCIL INFORMED ABOUT PROBLEMS RELATED TO PRIVATE SECURITY OPERATIONS, AND TO REDUCE COSTS, TRAINING MAY BE OFFERED AT THE POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY.
