STUDY EXAMINES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PAROLE SUCCESS AND SEVERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ENVIRONMENT TO WHICH 79 YOUTHFUL, PREVIOUSLY INCARCERATED, HEROIN OFFENDERS RETURNED.
Abstract
THE RESULTS SUGGEST THAT TWO VARIABLES, EMPLOYMENT AND DRUG USE ON PAROLE, ARE RELATED TO PAROLE SUCCESS, AND ARE CLOSELY RELATED TO EACH OTHER. A TABLE THAT PRESENTS A SUMMARY OF SELECTED RESEARCH FINDINGS ON DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CORRECTIONAL RECIDIVISTS AND NONRECIDIVISTS IS INCLUDED IN THE PUBLICATION. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)...KAP
