EXISTING DISTRIBUTION OF POLICE AND INDEX CRIMES, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN NUMBER OF POLICE AND AMOUNT OF CRIME IN A GIVEN DISTRICT, AND RELEVANT DEMOGRAPHIC AND ECONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AREA ARE ANALYZED. A DECISION MODEL IS ESTABLISHED FOR ANALYSIS AND MORE PRECISE MEASURE OF POLICE PROTECTION BENEFITS ARE SET FORTH.
