THE INNOVATIVE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT IS ITS CONCEPT AS A TOTAL TRAINING PACKAGE.
Abstract
IT IS DESIGNED TO PRODUCE AN EFFECT AT ALL LEVELS OF THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT -- THAT EFFECT BEING A DRASTIC INCREASE IN EFFICIENCY THROUGH AN IMPROVED USE OF BUDGETARY, MATERIAL AND PERSONNEL RESOURCES. A MAJOR TRAINING EFFORT WAS AIMED AT ALL LEVELS OF PERSONNEL OF THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT, TO PROVIDE EXECUTIVE, LEVEL TRAINING IN MODERN MANAGEMENT CONCEPTS AND PRINCIPLES FOR OFFICIALS OF THE RANK OF CAPTAIN AND ABOVE, SUPERVISORY LEVEL TRAINING IN MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY CONCEPTS FOR ALL LIEUTENANTS AND SERGEANTS OF THE FORCE, AND A COORDINATED IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM IN MODERN POLICE METHODS AND OPERATIONS FOR ALL PERSONNEL BELOW THE RANK OF SERGEANT.
