This volume comprises summaries of research papers delivered at the third biennial research seminar conducted by the Australian Institute of Criminology.
Abstract
The collection begins with two full-length papers on the problems of research into aborigines and the criminal justice system and on the pitfalls of evaluation in criminal justice. This material is followed by 37 summaries of papers on such subjects as counting prisoners, evaluating law reform in New South Wales, implementing research results, problem street drinking and the law, sexual assault in South Australia, community service orders, remand in Victoria, interpretation of crime statistics, types of police employee grievances, diet and delinquency, personality characteristics of property offenders and still others. The volume concludes with a list of participants and an evaluation of the seminar. Tabular data are provided.
